The funkiest, bluesiest, most-fun-you-can-have-out-of-bed dynamic show band, Downtown James Brown, was founded in 2005 by Kim Edmundson, a transplanted drummer with an amazing list of credits: movie work with Alan Silvestri, Percussion Loop libraries, television themes and cues - Kim does it all!
Downtown James Brown is Monterey's answer to the funk and dance rhythms of the hardest working man in show business - Mr. James Brown! Soulful, hot and funky, sometimes downright nasty, DJB is the answer to your need for a party band that can kick some serious booty!
